48 hour rule
I found out today that last night their was an impromtu meeting of Sigma Pi Tau Chapter, in which the brothers present voted on whom should be extended a bid for Beta pledge class. While I understand that the voting on the possible brothers can occur without quorum, I feel disrespected by the events that happened last night. Not entirely due to the fact that i wasn't there but because i received no phone call or e-mail that notified me of the improutu meeting. Which makes me feel that my opinion is not respected among the brotherhood here. I understand that these gentlemen and bids needed to be voted upon, however in order to make all the brothers feel important and involved in the process I am asking that the a '48 hour rule' be placed in the constitution. This 48 hour rule is more than enough notice for brothers, both living inside and outside the house, to properly shift their schduele so that they cna attend improtu meetings, house cleanings(both weekly and impromtu), brotherhood events, etc. While quorum is not necessary for voting on bids I feel that quorum or close to quorum(missing 1-3 people) is highly and strongly recommended to allow the vast majority of the brotherhood to vote on a neophyte. If this doesn't happen then i believe that it will get to a point were only the same few brothers will be voting on these new members and rest left out and causing a rift and making us 'disunited in Brotherhood'. On a more personally note if I am not in my room or you can not reach me on my phone, Nicole, he g/f, lives literally 10 feet away in 10 langdon so if there is a improtu meeting please either knock, or shout because i more than likely will be able to hear you. Thank you very much for your time.
