I just hope GATA and the CDF can get along better than the Federation..." With that, his plane disappeared into the MACROSS.
Right before Chiyo cut communications, though, she might've heard one word uttered.
"... Sorry, Captain," Anderson has said in a quiet voice, watching the connection get severed. "... Now, call back Idolo and get Sohryu out of her Unit."

Shuttles from the Macross landed on the giant chunk of the city built around Macross that had been dragged into space by the force of the Macross' fold drives. The shuttle crews began rescue operations for those who were trapped inside of the city's sealed shelters. The refugees, when rescued, were taken aboard the Macross and treated if any were wounded. The Plutonian colonists were not so fortunate. Their bodies would continue to litter space as none showed any signs of vitality.
As the rescue operations began to draw to a close, Capt. Vess returned to the SDF-1's bridge to resume her captainship. The second the captain stepped onto the bridge, she was barraged with reports from her crew.
"Ma'am, we have located 927 survivors on the chunk of land."
"How many civilians do we now have on board now?" the captain asked as she flopped into her captain's seat.
"Closest estimations are around 4800."
"Right," Vess mumbled as she opened communication channels with the Kestrel. "Kestrel, this is the Macross. We're going to need to get out of here shortly so we can get docked for more significant repairs."

"Right. My superiors has requested we wait just a bit longer for incoming backup."
"Sir! We've gotten a power reading from one of the Catapults! Incoming object!" Anderson relaxed back in his chair, smiling a bit.
"... Here they come now. Have 02 get ready to catch all three."
Minutes ago, at the Urenbeck Catapult near Earth...
"Units CC and 01 and mercenary Kris Nikolai, you are cleared to launch."
"Alright! Let's do this!"
Seconds later, near Jupiter...
"WOW! THIS IS DEFINATELY A RUSH. I.. I THINK I'M GONNA..."
Seconds ago the current time, near Uranus...
"OH GOD, WHEN DOES THIS DAMN THING STOPPPPPPP!!!!" Right as she finished that, Kris Nikolai's OF, Nut, and the two Evangelion units crashed into 02 at Pluto, having finished their cross-universe joyride. Having begun to slow down already, the red mecha was able to successfully catch them and was quickly pulled back in with them, Nut trailing. "... Wow. That was an intense experience... God, I'm never doing that, ever again."
"... Macross, this is the Kestrel. We have made contact and joined up with our backup. As the flagship of this makeshift fleet, I'm now turning command over to you. Kestrel out."

Another catapult shot from the Jupiter section. It didn't take long before more OFs enterred the area. The Ebony Enigma grinded to a halt, six members of the President's Guard stopping in a careful circle around him. The pilots were on edged, their OFs all ready in their battle stance as they quickly observed the area.
"Drop stances and disperse. Keep close and try and figure out what you can. The federation never tells the full truth." Derence spoke on the personal line to his guards.
"Sir." Came a single affirmation before the six guards broke formation. The moved out on their own, taking a scan of the area.
"Federation ship Kestrel, this is the president of the ELF Derence Omni. As the closest major federation ship, I request to know just what happened. The Antillan colonies were hit earlier by some unknown military force and from what I've gathered from Fleet Admiral Marquis, Pluto hasn't had much luck either." Derence formally adressed the Kestrel. It was the Federation he hated, but none the less the Federation was used to a barrage of questions.
And he just loved annoying the Federation every chance he got. Childish perhaps, but he wanted to watch them slip. He wanted to watch the other factions abuse their slip and tear apart the corruption Federation from the inside.
He needed another hard drink, he decided. Too bad he had left his drinks back on Antilla.

Capt. Vess sighed when she found out the Macross would be taking up the lead of the combined fleet task force.
"I don't understand why they're so insistant on pushing the Macross so hard," she complained quietly. "This is its first deployment and it's already being held together by chewing gum and prayers."
The ship operators were also equally surprised by the sudden turn of events.
"Great," one operator said to another, "it's not bad enough she can barely keep focused on commanding us during combat, now they're giving her a whole bunch of ships to play with."
This drew laughter from the operators followed by an awkward silence as the realization of the gravity of their situation set in.
Shortly after the hushed laughter on the bridge ended, Vess brodcasted a communication to all ships in the area, "Well, everybody who's involved in this, the SDF-1 is getting ready to head to Jupiter for docking and repairs. So, see everyone there."
"Take us back into cruiser mode and fold us to Jupiter space," Vess ordered her crew immediately after closing off the communication channels.
The Macross transformed back into its cruiser form and a few moments after doing so, disappeared into its fold bubble.
