For me, it's definitely the white one. It emobies innocence and a more demure nature. The red one was just a reflection of Captain Marvel's, imprisoning her in his shadow.

In the old style of Captain Marvel, Mary used her powers to help her get the housework done... lifted the sofa so she could vaccuum under it. It was horrible.
I'm in for a little female empowerment and individuality. Just because the poor girl is CM's sister, doesn't mean she should be subordinated by it. Girl power, m'man!
Just remember CM, when she transforms, you become a little less powerful because you're sharing the same power source... how's that for female empowerment?

Definately the white. Just like with Supergirl, it's much better when they get a different spin, rather than just having a female version of their inspiration.

White although the red looks nice to because it matches captain marvel but she needs to be different and not locked away in some kitchen for hours using her powers to clean up after mr. capin' marvel's messes *scowls at captain marvel*

There's just something about white on a girl that makes her seem powerful. Maybe it's a "bride" thing... when a man wears white he looks kind of silly, but the color empowers women somehow, IMHO.
