Once, in a dark room, the Palace crew was all sitting down to a nice dinner at a long fancy wooden table. They had all gathered there to prove something to one another.
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
As the group of them stand there, Wolf still holding the phone, the sound of several doors being slammed in succession echoes through out the building. Capin blinks a couple times. "I don't suppose that was you..."
Kardiac shakes his head. "Perhaps we should check it out."
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
Doug wasn't too sure... he hated anything that even smelled dangerous. Spiffy pulled something out of his pocket and held it in front of Doug's nose.
"Would you do it for a Scooby Snack?"
Kardiac pointed toward Spiffy's hand. "That's not a Scooby Snack!!!"
The group looked on in horror as they saw Spiffy holding his own severed head.
Doug's stomach lurched a bit and he held onto the wall for support. "Oh man..."
Capin took a second to realize what exactly was going on. Of course he couldn't, and that was little of a surprise. He stared back at his own head. The eyes kinda stared back blankly. Capin dropped it and immediately check and see that there was infact a head still attached to his neck. There was.
"What are you doing running around with a severed head in your pocket?"
Wolf hung up the phone. "And why you're head?"
"And why here?"
"I swear to god... i did put that head in my pocket."
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
Capin's statement was immediately followed by chorus of 'It wasn't me...' from the group. Then came a simultaneous wailing from beyond the basement door, and a large thumping noise from the attic.
Doug gulped, "So do we split up?"
The others looked at him as if he were insane. "Are you insane? Wolf asked. "Or have you fogotten the three basic rules of any horror movie/ghost story?"
"We might want to keep the 'slashes' to a minimum," Capin added.
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
Kardiac crossed his arms. "I am so not sleeping with anybody or going off alone to get a flashlight. I say we investigate one thing at a time, as a team."
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
Capin nodded. "Agreed... one question though," A loud thud is heard right above them. It was a dull sound, like the sound of Idaho potatos hitting the floor upstairs. They all crane their necks upward."How do we avoid rule four?"
Doug looks puzzled, "Never wrestle nekkid with a billy goat?"
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
"Easy... we get it out of the way early. We start at the top and work our way down."
Doug looked at him, "You sure about that?"
Kardiac nodded. "Yep. Simple plotting... we're still in Act One. No major characters can die until Act Two. We head to the roof now, why we're still in the "set-up" phase, and it's all downward travel during the dangerous Acts."
Spiffy shuddered, "Could you not say 'axe'?"
Wolfknyght put a hand on his shoulder. "Let's go!"
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
The large group of them head out of the dining room, leaving the severed head behind. It watches them walk out. Or is it just looking in that direction? Hmmm. Food for thought.
Half a moment later they're all standing at the foot of a massive wooden staircaise. Kardiac takes the first step, and it makes a painful squeaking sound. He takes a deep breath and continues up and the rest follow in a wave of noise.
"I don't really want to ask... but how do we know when we reached ACT 2?"
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
Suddenly Doug realises the worst thing of all, he's the comedic relief, and the comedic relief always bites it in act 2.
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
Kardiac looks at Doug. "Don't worry about it too much, kid. Your among friends, and we're traveling as a group... what could possibly go wrong?"
Re: friday the 13th....time for ghost stories
"Hey guys! What's up?" Dinah cheerfully peeks her head down the stairs. "Why are you guys looking so grim?"
Her eyes widen as she makes a shlorking sound, mouth opening and closing soundlessly. "Well, dang..."
She tumbles down the stairs, smearing blood in her passage. Landing in a heap on Kardiac's shoes, it can be seen that her heart has been ripped out from the back.
