KrystalCarinda Member Posts: 1 (13/7/05 4:56) Reply help please? a friend of mine recently bought a gerbil but had to give it away because of their cat. bad idea to buy... its very small, smaller than any ive ever seen, but its definately a gerbil. about half the size of the ones at petsmart (i work there). i have her (him? having a hard time with that) in a cage meant for hamsters, with a water bottle i change every day and hamster/gerbil food i refill every day and clean out every few days. shes got bedding good for gerbils, and a plastic wheel she cant hurt her tail in. what else does she need? please reply, thanks Slippery Paul Member Posts: 41 (12/9/05 20:22) Reply Re: help please? If your gerbil is anything like my two - plenty of cardboard boxes to gnaw on! Mine love things like tissue boxes, carial boxes and cardboard packages you get things like lasagne sheets in. They can pulverise a tissue box in less than an hour! If he/she doesn't chew them up, they'll be fine to play and hide in
