hi yall anyone know about swine flu?
Hi Yall,

Does anyone know if swine flu shot is supposed to be a killed virus shot? I got a message from a friend at the State letting us know when there is a "free shot day" first come first served kind of thing. I may need to take it bc of the large number of patients I see, especially children.

I don't know if Bob can unless it is a killed virus shot.

We are having more deaths show up. One last week two this week. A healthy 19 year old in town was tested twice during treatment for "strepthroat" no Type A flu virus, so not treated as flu, then tested after got pneumonia, and teste4d for H1N1, then died two days later, last week. Senior in High School. Lots of our teens and college age kids getting it. I see a lot of them at the office.

I don't want to put Bob at risk. Just wondering if you all have been thinking of getting the shots or know more. The circumstances here seem odd. Isn't H1N1 a type A?

I am going to ask my friend at the State, but she is a counselor like me. See what she plans.

Re: hi yall anyone know about swine flu?
it's a dead virus used to make the shot. CSF recommends everyone get the shot if they don't have allergy to eggs etc.
Bob should get as should you Betti.

wish you the best,
mike
