Just as the title says . . . what song would you love to hear live? I'd love to hear Introvert (the version Corina has at her site is just gorgeous. ) Hmmm, I'd also like to put in my request for Discipline, Vicky Verky and Vanity Fair.

So many! One of these where it's difficult to make a choice. But I'd love to hear In Another Lifetime.
And of course By Your Side. I've heard Glenn play it once live and I was reliably informed that it would also be the last time. Consequently I've been boring everyone rigid in my campaign to get him to include the song on a regular basis! So if you share my view on this please let me know.....

I asked people on the Glenn List who'd like him to play By Your Side more often to sign a little database/petition thing, with a view to presenting it to him in February (more in hope than expectation I'm afraid!). I'm stuck at 31 names so far, so I'm going to go on a final push to get the numbers up to 40 before then.
Anyone who wants to help me in this I'd be happy to add you name - obviously the more the merrier!

haven't heard it, being somewhat of a newbie to the band, but you can stick my name down anyway, cos i'm sure it's brilliant, and it sounds like it would make you happy if it gets played

Thank you! I will do. And yes, it would make me happy if he played it more often, but I don't think he likes it very much. Still, maybe he can grow to love it if he thinks it's going down well with the punters.
I'll let you know the response I get from him (if it's printable!)

The live version on A Round etc. is so much better than the album one. It's funny how some songs are like that - Black Coffee and Fingertips (The "Hilaire Penda on bass" version) being other examples.

Good man! You know it makes sense. I'm now up to 34 thanks to help from you chaps on this forum, so not far to go.
I prefer the Round & a Bout version too, much less ponsey. This was the version Glenn played at Scarborough in December so I would guess he prefers it as well (if he has to play it at all!).
Oh yes - Black coffee is much better live - agreed. The album version verges on the painful IMHO. And did you hear Hilare's funky bass playing on the live version of Domino? That was fab.
