rb30 strength
looking at doing the turbo mod to an rb30. as im aware the internals other than pistons are identical.
does anyone know hp limits of these.
eg hp limit of rods
hp limit of crank
hp limit when forged pistons are required.

also, are the flywheels and starters the same? im pretty sure the turbo bellhousing is different to suit bigger box.

cheers

the exact figures i couldnt tell you but the parts in the turbo and non turbo models where the same except for the pistons really (in the short motor) you can get a whole lot of power out of the standard botom ends. the turbo starters are different.

you can use any rb ghearbox and starter on any rb engine. im using an rb25 starter and gearbox on a rb30, plus im using an rb25 head on my rb30.

and also forgies are stronger but tehy arent indestructable. if oyu have detonation forgies will only last abit longer thatn your average piston
