...i decided to post what i emailed you here:
well i just visited your site for the first time...and i noticed a few
errors on it. now, i am no longer a manson fan (not for the reasons
you hate him...just because he's a real jerk in person!) but i was a
mansonaholic for a VERY long time so let me set you straight on a few
things .
marilyn manson is not a christian, although he was catholic as a child.
later in life he decided to convert to satanism (the belief that one is
their own god because they control their own universe). he was a very
good friend of mr. levay (the founder of modern day satanism) and was
even made a reverend of the church of satan.
now, the entire tone of your page screams of immaturity and lack of
resources. i am not saying that the idea of your page is bad, although
i
am saying that you need to work on a few things. for instance, you say
his "stupid lyrics" but in reality, some of his lyrics have a lot of
symbolism in them. manson is a VERY intelligent man...do you give him
any credit for this? a good anti-whatever site ALWAYS states both good
and bad things about the thing they disagree with...that way the maker
does not wind up looking like a complete crack head. well, i hope you
listened to my suggestions...and other than what i stated...great site!

I am not writing to you to bitch about what you have said, for that is your opinion, but I think you are dead wrong in what you say. Marilyn Manson does not make money by making "confused teens depressed" for I am a fan of mansons, and I am neither confused nor depressed, but I am in fact a teen. If you are going to state that he is a poser, you should first find out alittle backround information. First, do you think it is just by chance that YOU noticed that his songs have many lines taken from the bible? No, we all know... because it isn't a secret. He has stated in several reports that he belives the teachings of the bible are good, but the way people USE them is bad. He does no get out on stage and PRETEND to be 'lyke so toooootally INSANE' it is just his persona, affected by many tramatizing events linked with his grandfather at a young age. I do not see how it is possible that he is pushing his ideas on people when in fact these people choose to listen to him. "I haven't seen too many images of satan wearing clown makeup,fake boobs,and screaming in people's faces" Where did he ever say ever that he was trying to be satin. The opposite of christian isn't devil-worship... because the devil is linked to god... if you knew ANYTHING about ANYTHING you were talking about, you would know he isn't and never has been into devil worship... the beliefs he holds is that there is no god and we all have to be our own gods, which is supporting self worship which is not a bad thing and is nothing like devil worshiping. This is the reason for many of his fans being fans. There has never before been a music idol on his level that wasn't god or devil... now there is... B.W. and M.M. are one in the same, both reflections of another. One doesn't try to get away from the other, one doesn't pretend to be without the other... it just is...

Before, I say anything about Manson, himself, I'd like to point out what I think of YOU.
First of all, you're very hypocritical. You preach about disrespect, and how it's horrible to shun Christianity, but as I was reading your replies to the hate mail, not once did I see a reply from you that was either respectful or christian-like. Calling Manson fans "buttholes" is extremely immature, and ...DISRESPECTFUL. Even more so, it's radical. It's a radical idealogy to think that Manson should be *banned* or shot, as your anti-Manson picture gallery has shown. It reminds me a lot of radicals against abortion, who will shoot those going into an abortion clinic. Doesn't make much sense does it? I really think if you want to state your opinion about how much you dislike Manson, you should think it out before writing it down. All it does is make YOU sound uneducated, and hypocritical.
Am I hypocrite for saying that? Maybe, but I also don't preach to others about respect, and the terror of losing Christianity.
You state in so many words that he shouldn't be able to get away with tearing up a bible. Well, I think that's something you'll have to get used to living in a free country. Religious freedom does not only apply to Christians, but to non-Christians as well. Like it or not. And, for your information being an atheist, does not entail "worshipping the devil" or partaking in evil rituals. It simply means to not believe in a God, only because it seems scientifically impossible. Although you may not agree with that theory, which is completely acceptable, you're going to have to learn how to deal with people of different beliefs and backgrounds if you wish to get anywhere in life. If not, you're forever going to be irritated with society, and anyone who doesn't feel the same way YOU do. What a shame.
Just as you have demonstrated your freedom of speech, you must understand that is what Marilyn Manson himself strives to do as well. Why? Simply because he can. And, it's a beautiful thing to not be imprisoned or killed for stating your beliefs in this country.
If you cherish America, as it seems you do by the way you state your disgust in Manson for wiping his ass with an American flag, you will also understand that one of the great things to love about America IS free speech. Manson is simply exercising his right of free speech.
The fact that you're anti-Manson does not bother me one bit. I have many friends who dislike Manson. However, the fact that you express radical ideas, and bash fans of Manson, scares me. It scares me that there are people who actually dedicate their time to putting down another human being, or a group of them. The fact that you actually spend your time drawing little word-bubbles on pictures of Manson in attempt to bash him, is frightening. It's frightening that some people never grow up, and accept that the world is full of different people.
If Manson were to build a site dedicated to Anti-Christianity, how would it be much different from YOUR site?
Being an atheist, I am offended by the implications you've included in your site ...basically stating how an atheist way of thinking is "horrific".
By no means do atheists regularly wipe their asses with a flag or rip up bibles; Manson is an extreme example, and not to mention an ENTERTAINER. For the majority of humans, seeing things you don't see in everyday life is entertaining, such as the acts Manson performs.
I'd also like to inform you, that many of Manson's quote-unquote irrational acts on stage were in the past, and have subsided, BECAUSE he got in trouble. I've been to two Manson concerts in the past couple years, and I never witnessed anything extreme. The closest thing were the half naked girls, who obviously volunteered to partake in such an act.
To believe that Manson's music truly influences people is absurd. And, if perhaps, it does influence an individual, that person was not sane to begin with to take entertainment as a serious part of life. I have been listening to Manson's music since I was 10 years old, and I don't run about wearing face paint, and shouting that I'm an anti-christ. I'd also like to point out that most 10 year olds don't have the capacity of intelect to even grasp what Manson is saying in his lyrics. And, obviously neither do you, if you truly believe they are demonic or violent.
For the most part, Manson's lyrics are extremely political. They include a great amount of irony and sarcasm. Which, obviously you can't understand.
Him, and the wave of his fans whom you bash for "wearing dark makeup" and agreeing with his statements, are simply people angry with people like you... who cannot find room in their hearts and minds to accept people with different beliefs.
In your site you state that Christianity has been around for a very long time, but also don't forget that atheism and religions/theories that do NOT believe in a specific god, or Jesus has been around longer, since the beginning of man.
Maybe you have and maybe you haven't done your research on Manson, but you obviously haven't done much research on religion itself, or the particular topics Manson speaks of in his lyrics. Or, maybe you're just terrified that someone has such strong political, religious, and social opinions. Is it a threat to you? Because, as far as I know Manson has been around for a long time, and hasn't yet taken over the world, abolished Christianity, or *murdered* human beings. Obviously, he's not going to.
If you'd stop believing everything you see on the news, and what the government tells you, maybe you'd understand why Manson is frustrated with the very society we live in today. To me, you sound like someone who follows their leader blindingly. Well, it's time to wake up. The world is full of deceitful humans, and that includes Presidents and Priests.
You think Manson is a hypocrite, and that it's such a horrific idea for the world to have no Christianity. What about the Priests that preach to church goers about leading a fufilling life and not committing sins, and later you hear they've molested a number of little boys.
That, my dear, is what we should be worrying about in society today... not some entertainer who likes to wear dark makeup.
If you understood the first thing about art, you'd understand Manson. Obviously art isn't your thing. Speaking as a person who is intrigued by art in all shapes and forms, I must say, Manson has more talent than any artist, music or non-music artist, that I've seen in years. It's quite clear that Manson has SHOCKED you with his forward acts, lyrics, and whatever else you may have witnessed...and that is the very point of most art. To shock other people.
Salvador Dali, one of the greatest artists in time, still isn't widely accepted by society for his shocking ways of portraying humanity and emotions. None the less, he has never disturbed our world except for those who are offended by masterpiece art.
Of course Manson is straight forward, and a bit weird. But name one great artist in history that hasn't been a bit on the awkward side.
My best advice for you is to get over it, and ignore it. There is nothing you can do to stop Manson from making music, movies, and art. And, even if Manson were to disappear off the face of the earth tomorrow, you can be sure there would be someone else readily awaiting to fill his shoes and shock society with his or her firm beliefs, emotions, and opinions.
While reading your site, I noticed a lack of emotion. The whole thing was dry, emotionless, and filled with 5-year old cruelty. It reminded me a lot of a kid on a playground making fun of another child who seemed different. "Ew, do you EVER wash your hair?" Your whole "creation" made me roll my eyes, and laugh a little. Reading your reformed lyrics to "Beautiful People" as you renamed it "My Beautiful Paycheck" sounded idiotic and not well thought out. When coming across that link, I was half-expecting to at least come across something with a point, something poetic, maybe with some flow. But, again I was disappointed by your dull brained words. AT LEAST some of these bible thumpers that stand outside of every single on of Manson's concerts protesting seem to be filled with passion for their cause. In addition, I haven't heard of or come across any that have went as low to call Manson fans or Manson himself a freakin' "butthole". Can't you think of anything better to say? If the reason you dislike Manson is because of your passion for Christianity, state that! You've listed a few reasons why you dislike Manson, but have never once backed up those reasons with a personal passion. That is what will get people's attention. Of course, atheists will always look at you as if you're crazy, but have no fear, 90% of America is Christian, so you're in "good" company!
Christians already rule America the way it is, to take away yet another one of the few freedoms that atheists have is strictly radical.
To further my opinion, and my point, I will lay it out on the table to say that I was raised Christian. From everything I've learned through bible school, and church was that the Christian way was to love and respect people no matter their race, sex, religion, size or shape. However, you've just proved my point to be more accurate by going out to call others buttholes for who they are. And that is, no matter what the Priest preaches, or what the bible states, the nature of a lot of Christians. Holier than thou, no religion is better than their own. Women to be treated as property, not as people. And, though "we Christians preach that killing is wrong, we often state such radical things, that anyone who is a threat to our religion, SHALL BE killed." Hmm, sort of reminds me of this "Holy War" Bush has concocted. Though, anyone educated, sees that is just a sorry excuse for hording oil that is not our own.
As of now, our society is walking on eggshells. There are much bigger, more serious problems arising throughout the world. And, all you can think about is your dislike for a certain entertainer. That is truly sad.
Before I go on, and close this e-mail, I'm sure you're wondering, "If you don't like it, or if you're a fan of Manson why did you come here?" The answer is simple: I love a good debate. The internet is available to anyone, and to be as narrow minded to think that because a person is a Manson fan, that they won't come across your site, is sincerely pointing out how oblivious you are. If you must know, I was searching for pictures of Manson to put up on my xanga site on google image search results, and your "Anti-Manson" picture was one of the first results. If you expected your pathetic "organization" to be private, only for those who are truly offended by Manson, I suggest not putting it up on the internet for the whole world to see. And if you know anything about your own species, humans, you would know that humans are impulsively curious. So, that answers your question regarding why an avid-Manson fan would look at your site... simple and pure curiosity.
Why bother to write you an email? Well, I suppose that question could go along with...why bother to build a site dedicated to your opinion about Manson? And, I'm sure the answer is identical to that of why I would write you an email... to state an opinion.
