I have an annoying problem whenever i lose weight i lose weight everywhere causing my hips to look small in comparison to my waist. I used to have a big but but now it is vanishing....please help. I need a way to shring my waist and increase my hips without losing anymore weight...i was taking metabolife for a while and even though it helped me lose weight my waist got smaller but not small enough to go with the smallness of my hips....my measurements are 35-27-35 i want it to be 35-24-38...if you have any tips please help

wide waist..small hips....tips to spot gaining
Hi Shoshi.

If you read my previous responses to others, you'll see that I believe that there is no such thing as spot reducing. If you have fat on your waist, dieting will take fat off everywhere (including your hips.) And, if your waist still has fat on it - you've got to diet! If you are geneticaly disposed to small hips - there is little you can do to compensate (but there is something). Hopefully you work out in a well equipped gym. See if they have a Hip Abduction machine. This will work the outer thighs and hips and tone them up. With high enough protein intake, you should see some addition of size (though it is very hard to diet and build at the same time). If your gym doesn't have one, see if you can do standing side leg lifts from a cable crossover machine - with the cable coming off the bottom of the machine - attached to your ankle by a strap. This will build the outer hips just as well. Now there is something else you can try - and that is a cutting gel on your waist and stomach. Again, with proper diet, this SHOULD target increased fat loss in your midsection and spare your hips. Some people I have talked to said the stuff (cutting gel) worked for them. I personally have not had good results. But you might decide to try it.
